Another Slick, Icy Commute Expected on Wednesday

Early morning snow will turn to a wintery weather blend of snow, ice, and rain, creating a messy commute again in New Hampshire tomorrow.

While not expected to be as slick and dangerous as Monday, a storm front moving into New England is expected to make Granite State roadways slippery during the morning commute on Dec. 7, 2016. According to weather forecasters, the light snow will start in the Milford and Amherst area around 1 a.m., in Concord at 2 a.m., and Rockingham communities like Exeter and Hampton between 3 and 4 a.m.

Since temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s, the roads are expected to be icy and may offer dangerous driving conditions.

The snow will turn to a mix of snow and rain before 9 to 10 a.m. and then turn to rain around 10 and 11 a.m. in different parts of the state. The rain should end around lunchtime but the skies will remain cloudy, according to forecasters.

The storm on Monday dropped as many as four inches of snow in Concord and anywhere from one inch of snow in Londonderry and Salem to three inches of snow in Milford, but forecasters aren’t expecting a lot of accumulation tomorrow. This is probably why the National Weather Service has not issued a hazardous weather alert for the latest storm. Forecasters, however, are issuing warnings that tomorrow’s storm could make the morning commute a bit messy.
