Armed Bank Robbery Reported In Downtown Concord

Breaking: Cops are looking for a thin white man in a black hoodie and jeans who had a gun during a robbery attempt on South Main Street.

CONCORD, NH — Police are scouring Downtown Concord looking for a man who reportedly attempted to rob the Eastern Bank on South Main Street. The incident reportedly occurred at just before 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 12, 2017. The man is described as white with a thin build and about 6 feet, 1 inch tall.

The man reportedly had a ski mask over his face and then, a winter hat over the mask. A witness reported that the man has possible freckles on his body, dark blue jeans, a possible red or orange under shirt, white gloves, with gray or white sneakers. One witness reported that the man had a gun during the robbery, according to dispatchers. Shortly after the call, after eyeing surveillance video, police confirmed that the man allegedly flashed a gun during the robbery attempt.

New Hampshire State Police have a K-9 unit heading to the city.

Witnesses also reported that the man ran north on South Main Street and then ran east on Pleasant Street Extension. Police searched the Capitol Commons Garage for clothing and other evidence. Detectives are reportedly inside the bank also looking for evidence.
