CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police and Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash on Interstate 93 south Tuesday.

Just past 3:30 p.m., state police dispatch received a call from a driver reporting an armored car off the side of the highway in the median between Exit 13 and Exit 12. A trooper asked if Brinks had called state police yet, and dispatch said No.

The first state trooper shut down the left lane of the highway.

About 15 minutes later, capital region fire dispatch took a crash report and sent firefighters and EMTs. When they arrived, they confirmed the armored car had crashed into a guardrail on the high-speed side of the highway, close to the bridge above Hall Street.

The ladder truck blocked the highway before EMTs arrived.
