CONCORD, NH — A prominent New Hampshire fugitive, wanted on attempted murder charges connected to two different cases, has been arrested.

Deandre “Fathead” Anglade, 20, was featured as a fugitive of the week in early April, by the U.S. Marshals Service. Goffstown police wanted him for attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and burglary charges relating to incidents in October 2022. Andrew Grillo, a deputy marshal, said Anglade “also shunned court hearings” related to attempted murder and six first-degree assault with a firearm charges. In that case, which occurred in Manchester, he was 16. But a grand jury certified Anglade as an adult, and he failed to appear in court.

Due to the seriousness of these incidents, marshals focused much of their efforts on attempting to capture him, and the case garnered national attention.

“Casting a wide net is one way the marshals service can help our local partners find their most sought-after fugitives,” Billy Tufts, who leads the U.S. Marshals Service NH JFTF, said. “A national campaign such as this one, prioritizes the work of our agency and allows us to tap into the resources our offices throughout the country have developed in their respective communities.”

The fugitive task force picked up Anglade's trail in Red Springs, NC, where he had embedded himself in a manufactured home park on McQueen Road.

“Once surveillance teams were able to positively identify Anglade,” Grillo said, “a U.S. Marshals Service arrest team surrounded the structure he was in and attempted to call him out. Despite being known to carry a firearm, Anglade surrendered without a fight.”

Anglade was arrested and remains in custody in North Carolina, awaiting extradition back to New Hampshire.
