Attempted Robbery Reported At Concord Sunoco Station: Watch
Update: Concord police are searching for a man with a knife after attempting to rob the Manchester Street gas station Friday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Sunoco gas station on Manchester Street Friday. The report was taken at 8:38 p.m. Dispatch reported a man pulled a knife on a clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The man fled the scene running up the hill on Manchester Street, according to scanner chatter.
The clerk was injured during the incident. The knife was later described as a large kitchen knife.
The man was described as white, about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, possibly with facial hair, wearing a gray jacket with white on the bottom and gray sleeves, as well as shorts.

When the first officers arrived, they requested firefighters to the gas station, due to the injury. New Hampshire State Police also arrived to assist with a K-9 unit to attempt to try and track the suspect.
At 9 p.m., the scene was secured by police and the clerk was being assisted medically. But the K-9 lost the track pretty quickly.

Officers began scouring the area for potential suspects including known homeless people who are camping in the area, behind Veano's, and others who fit the description of the suspect. The description information was shared with other open businesses in the area. Two manufactured home parks were checked along with the laundromat.
Police are attempting to obtain video surveillance from the store as well as information about at least one vehicle that may have been on the property at the time of the robbery but were gone when police arrived.
