Attempted Sexual Assaulter On Escape Status From NH Halfway House
This week's fugitive is Bruce Apostolas. He has ties to Nashua, Hudson, and the Lakes Region. Marshals also say he has "violent tendencies."
CONCORD, NH — The District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is requesting tips about the location of a sex offender, with violent tendencies, who is currently on escape status from the Calumet Halfway House in Manchester. Bruce Gordon Apostolas, 54, has been missing since late September while in the process of serving a sentence for failure to register as a sex offender, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White. Apostolas is required to register after being convicted of attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault on a child under 18 back in 1991.

“Apostolas is believed to be in the Hudson and/or Nashua area but also has ties to the Lakes Region,” White said in a press alert.

Apostolas’ last known address, according to the state of New Hampshire, was Lowell Street in Manchester. He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs around 260 lbs. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. In the past, according to the alert, he has used the alias “Bruce Wayne Apostolas." Apostolas has tattoos on his left and right arms, chest, face, left hand, neck, and both his left and right shoulder. He also has scars on his abdomen, left arm, and right left.
According to the Department of Safety, Apostolas has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1983, when he was convicted of simple assault, theft, robbery, and resisting arrest charges. In 1987, 1988, and 1989, he racked up theft, burglary, assault, unauthorized use, stolen property, fraud, and escape charges. In 1998, Apostolas was convicted of criminal mischief and then, duty to report in 2000, 2007, and 2008. Criminal threat, stolen property, and resisting charges followed in 2009. Apostolas was also convicted of duty to report, DUI, and assault in 2010 and 2012. In 2014, he was convicted of duty to report, assault, and obstructing government administration. His current sentence was two counts of duty to report and controlled drug; acts prohibited in January 2017, according to the NH DOS.
