Backpage.com ‘Companion’ Ads, Overdose Calls Lead To Charges
Franklin Police arrest Harry Rowley, Kailey Rowley, Alyssa Blackman on drug charges after common nuisance search warrant on Chestnut Street.
FRANKLIN, NH — Police in nearby Franklin raided a home today after several months of monitoring calls to service at the home and two women reportedly with past or current backpage.com sex ads, according to a post on Facebook. Arrested on Sept. 14, 2017, were Harry Rowley, 58, Kailey Rowley, 25, and Alyssa Blackman, 26, of Chestnut Street in Franklin on possession of controlled drugs-heroin, crystal methamphetamine. Police executed a search warrant against the home for violating the state’s “common nuisances” statute.

The statute deems any “store, shop, warehouse, dwelling, house, building, vehicle, boat, aircraft, or any place whatever which is resorted to by drug-dependent persons for the purpose of using controlled drugs or which is used for the illegal keeping or selling of the same shall be deemed a common nuisance.” (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Concord NH Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

The department, according to the post, has been monitoring the home for months. Investigators alleged that there had been more than 40 calls to the home for drug overdoses, prostitution complaints, assaults, wanted subjects, noise complaints, and multiple calls from neighborhood residents reporting possible drug activity.
The two women, detectives alleged, have or have had profiles on backpage.com soliciting female-male companionship.

All three subjects were released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignments in Merrimack County Superior Court.
