Battle Of The Undefeated Varsity Wrestlers Goes To Salem Blue Devils

Salem High School's varsity wrestlers beat Concord, 48 to 20 on Wednesday; Crimson Tide JV wrestlers squeak out a win, 14 to 10.

CONCORD, NH — When the Salem High School Blue Devils came to Concord on Wednesday, all the chatter was that two undefeated squads were facing off against each other.

Salem’s varsity team was 10-0, while Concord High School Crimson Tide’s varsity squad was 7-0.

At the night's end, the Blue Devils came away with the win, besting the Tide, 48 to 20.

Many of the matches found wrestlers in their weight classes evenly matched. But Salem won with more pins and appeared to be more strategic in their tactics.

Concord’s junior varsity wrestlers, however, beat the Salem wrestlers, 14 to 10.
