Bitter Cold Friday; Weekend Snowstorm Coming To New Hampshire
National Weather Service: Hazardous weather outlook issued for the state warning of wind chills and 4- to 8-inches of snow this weekend.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service issued a "hazardous weather outlook" Friday warning of bitter cold temperatures, wind chill factors, and a snowstorm Saturday and Sunday. The outlook alert was posted at just after 9 a.m. It covers nearly the entire state of New Hampshire — including the central and southern parts of the state.
"Very cold air moves in tonight and will push wind chills below zero," the alert stated. "Another storm moves in late Saturday and over 6-inches of snow is possible into Sunday morning."

So far this year, forecasters are 1-1 in the prediction department. One storm was as bad as they thought it would be; another storm tracked north and most of Patch communities saw less snow than expected. How bad this storm will be is anyone's guess but here are the early weather predictions.
In Concord and the capital region, forecasters believe the windchill factor will drop to -6 degrees Friday based on temperatures in the mid-teens and wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Temps will be in the single digits and windchills will feel like it is -9 degrees during the evening.

The snowstorm is expected to start around 4 p.m. Saturday and last into early Sunday morning. Anywhere from 4- to 8-inches of snow by the time the storm ends.
For the south-central and western Hillsborough and Rockingham county communities, including Amherst, Bedford, Londonderry, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua, Salem, and Windham, wind chills are expected to be as low as -1 degrees today and the single digits tonight with windchills as low as -5 degrees tonight.
The snowstorm is expected to start after 4 p.m. Accumulations should be in the 4- to 6-inch range by the time the storm ends on Sunday morning.
For inner and coastal Rockingham County communities, including Exeter, Portsmouth, Hampton, and North Hampton, wind chills will reach -4 degrees today with gusts as high as 35 mph. Tonight and overnight, temps will be in the single digits with wind chills dropping to -3 degrees.
There's a 40 percent chance of snow starting around 4 p.m. with windchills dropping as low as -2 degrees Saturday. Snow continues into the evening and morning but should be done by 8 a.m. Expect anywhere from 4- to 8-inches of snow by the end of the storm.
