THE BON-TON STORES, INC. REACHES $263,711 IN DONATIONS TO SUPPORT THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

MILWAUKEE, WI (October 2013) – The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:BONT) raised $263,711 through customer donations from June 17 to July 17 for the American Red Cross, a not-for-profit that prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

“We are delighted to make this donation to the American Red Cross,” said Bon-Ton President and CEO, Brendan Hoffman. “We are proud to support an amazing organization that depends on volunteers to help support the lives of victims in need nationwide during times of disaster.”

Customers were given the opportunity to donate $3 to the American Red Cross between June 17 and July 17 in exchange for a coupon that gave them $10 off of a $25 purchase.
