Bouchard’s Year of Crime
Burglary on South Main Street last week caps off a spree of lawlessness by Concord teen.

Jacob Bouchard, a local teenager with an alleged knack for prying open locked store doors, can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
During the last year, Bouchard, 18, of Concord, was arrested and charged with a slew of offenses ranging from burglary to stealing change from a car to stealing a bike to setting fires in dumpsters and other charges, according to arrest reports.
The day before the burglary last week at the Anaconda Tattoo and Piercing shop, Bouchard was being held at Merrimack County House of Corrections after being arrested on Nov. 28. Police charged him with attempt to commit burglary, a felony, criminal mischief (vandalism), and three felony theft by unauthorized taking charges.

According to an arrest report, an officer was called to Portsmouth Street to arrest Bouchard who had a number of warrants against him, including misdemeanor charges that were elevated to felonies due to previous convictions.
During the initial contact with Bouchard, the officer reported smelling “the faint odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person” but Bouchard gave no resistance when arrested.

The charges stem from alleged incidents at Capital Farms, a convenience store on Broadway on Nov. 22, and Walmart on Loudon Road, on Oct. 13, and Oct. 17.
Police allege that Bouchard attempted to pry open a door to gain access to Capital Farms. The incident caused $737 worth of damage to a glass door and lock. As evidence, police obtained digital pictures, a glass sample, clothing, and other evidence.
In the Walmart incident, police allege that Bouchard was involved in a gift cards scam with the value of the cards being about $120.
Bouchard refused bail services and was transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections. He was arraigned on Nov. 28.
Back in March, Bouchard was arrested along with Joshua Glen Manias, another teen with a long string of arrests in the city, and charged with theft from a motor vehicle and default or breach of bail conditions. Police alleged in a report that the two were involved in stealing about $10 worth of loose change from a car.
Back in January, Bouchard was also arrested on multiple counts connected to a burglary and theft at the S&W Sports Shop on South Main Street, an attempted robbery at Goodale’s Bike Shop on the Heights, and fires set at the Everett Arena and Storrs Street.
