Boutique Hotel In Concord Receives 4 Diamond Rating From AAA

CONCORD, NH — The city's newest hotel has received a prestigious customer service rating from AAA, a nonprofit company that provides travel information, hotel rankings, and roadside assistance. The Hotel Concord – a 38-room boutique hotel tucked inside the Capital Commons building on South Main Street – received a Four Diamond rating from the company this month, a rare distinction in the hospitality business.

Only about 6.3 percent of the more than 27,000 AAA inspected and approved hotels – about 1,700 – have received the ranking.

David Shamoian, the president and CEO of the Bravo Zulu Hospitality Group, said he was thrilled that the property received the rating after less than a year in business.

"From its inception, The Hotel Concord was conceived as a premier property with high-end amenities and a premium level of service," Shamoian said. "We are exceptionally proud of the work the ownership group, the design team, and the hotel staff has put into making The Hotel Concord a standout property."

Only eight hotels in the state have received the Four Diamond rating from AAA.

The hotel, which opened in August 2018, was conceived by Michael Simchik, the managing partner of 100 Market Group, after the Capital Commons building lost a couple of major tenants, and he decided to pivot to a mixed-use concept. Each room is a different shape and size, with sound-proofing, flat screen televisions, high-speed Internet, Amazon Echo Dots, and kitchenettes. Some of the rooms feature balconies with views of the Statehouse, Merrimack River, and Downtown Concord.

The hotel also features a gym, an on-site restaurant – O Steaks and Seafood, which offers room service and breakfast to clientele – function rooms, and an executive lounge.
