Concord's stationary buffer zone law petition
There is a petition to the city council asking for a stationary 35-foot buffer zone outside the Concord Feminist Health Center on South Main Street.

Protesting outside of reproductive healthcare clinics is on the rise country wide given our political climate of late. While some protesters pray; some physically barr entry / egress to force "counseling" against abortion.
A question a woman seeking reproductive healthcare clinic services may ask herself: If I arrive by car, is there a patient parking lot? If not, is there a stationary buffer zone law physically separating patients and protesters? At the Concord Feminist Health Center women have neither, which is why nearly 50 people signed and submitted a petition to the Concord City Council asking for a stationary 35-foot buffer zone around the entrance to the Concord Feminist Health Center.
Everybody already knows how current Concord City Councilor and former N.H. Executive Councilor, Dan St. Hilaire, will vote. While Dan St. Hilaire was still a N.H. Executive Councilor, he voted to rescend federal Planned Parenthood funding after declaring his anti-choice stand.

The Pray for Life Center and the Knights of Columbus are already rallying their forces around the state to attend the Concord City Council meeting in August, when it is rumored there will be a public hearing regarding this petition. They have also acquired the assistance of attorney Michael Tierney of Wadleigh Starr & Peters of Manchester to help them.
Courts across the country are upholding stationary buffer zone laws. Stationary buffer zones alllow protesters to be seen and heard. They allow patients to protect themselves from aggressive protesters.

I was verbally assaulted last year by a protester in front of the Concord Feminist Health Center who also attempted to bar my entry / egress. Not to mention New Hamshire is - was - home to Frank Szabo, who ran for sheriff of Hillsborough County in 2012 on the campaign promise he would use "deadly force" to stop doctors from performing abortions. I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but I would rather have 35 feet between me and the Frank Szabos than the 0 feet we have now.
