Girl's Inc 5K is Re-born in Concord!
Yup...I want you all to come support Girl's Inc. by participating in their 12th Annual 5K!
The weather may not be great right now and you may have your 50 good reasons to stay in tomorrow morning...but there are girls nationwide who need you to bundle up and get your jog on.
Girl's Incorporated offers after school programming to school aged girls nationwide. From homework support, job shodowing and mentoring to crafts, athletics and performing arts the program is rich and nurturing. Karen Billings, the local director here in Concord has resurrected the 5K Race that she directed for many years in Rochester. Using a flat fast 5K course on the campus of NHTI, the race will raise both money and awareness for Girls Inc.
The race starts at 9 a.m. at Delta Dental....so get that morning coffee flowing, dress appropriately and come on down to run....or jog...or walk....I will be there timing so will be looking for the hundreds of race day sign-ups this post generates:) All ofthe information you need is just one click away:)
