The Gospel According to Dan St. Hilaire

Executive Councilor Dan St. Hilaire goes after Planned Parenthood, again.

Our own Executive Councilor, , is at it again, doing his best to whack Planned Parenthood and the thousands of citizens it serves. 

The latest report is that he has partnered with the Alliance Defense Fund—a conservative Christian legal organization—to formally protest and terminate the federal contract recently awarded to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England for healthcare services.

On its website, the Alliance Defense Fund identifies itself as “a servant organization that provides the resources that will keep the door open for the spread of the Gospel through the legal defense of religious freedom, the sanctity of life, marriage and the family.”

Of course, St. Hilaire previously made news by being acting to end the longtime state contract with .  Recognizing that thousands of clients were now not receiving needed services, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded a $1.1 million contract to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.  

It appears St. Hilaire is letting his own religious ideology determine what care New Hampshire citizens are allowed to get. He should not use his high office to spread his version of the Gospel.
