Bridge Collapses, Boom Truck Falls Into Canal In Allenstown: Watch
A worker was injured at the Lofts at 25 Canal building site on Canal Street on Monday after a boom truck on a bridge collapsed.
ALLENSTOWN, NH — Allenstown and Chichester fire and rescue teams were sent to a construction site on Canal Street for a worker that was injured on Monday.
EMTs were sent to the Lofts at 25 Canal project, the old China Mill, around 10:45 a.m. for a report of a worker who had fallen 10 feet and was injured. Later, firefighters found a boom truck had fallen into the canal next to the building project.
The fire commander told dispatch the boom fell into the canal after a bridge it was on collapsed. One worker was seriously injured. The construction worker was deemed a “Status 3” patient and was taken to Concord Hospital by Chichester EMTs. The worker's medical condition is unknown at post time.

Command requested an official from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services to the scene around 11 a.m. A tow truck from Duval's Towing arrived to pull the JLG Ultra Boom out of the canal.
According to the town of Allenstown, One Wall Allenstown LLC, a subsidiary of Brady Sullivan, is the developer of the project. When completed, it will feature 150 “upscale apartments.”
