CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to Franklin Street Sunday for a report of a fire caused by a lawnmower that then ignited a fence.

Around 12:45 p.m., capital region dispatch began receiving calls about a riding lawnmower that caught on fire. The burning lawnmower then caught a fence on fire. Residents in the area were able to use a hose to chip away at the fire before firefighters arrived.

Firefighters, at the time, were at a different mower fire on Portsmouth Street and at the fire training site.
