The Road to Tender Hearts, with author Annie Hartnett

Annie Hartnett (Unlikely Animals) returns to Concord to visit Gibson's Bookstore with her new novel, The Road to Tender Hearts, a darkly comic and warm-hearted novel about an old man on a cross-country mission to reunite with his high school crush—bringing together his adult daughter, two orphaned kids, and a cat who can predict death! Hartnett will be joined in conversation by Liberty Hardy (a senior contributing editor at Book Riot).

Readers may remember Hartnett's Unlikely Animals as the 2024 Concord Reads community book club selection.
