
Ken Roos was a long-time supporter of the American Red Cross.
In addition to being a blood donor, he served on the board of the Concord Chapter. Roos was the first state employee to be given time off to aid in disaster relief. He was a 911 rescue worker and was deployed to help with Hurricanes Katrina, Andrew, and Wilma, among others.
Roos was also the local person who was called to house fires and helped victims with housing, food, and clothing. As a state employee, Ken was first vice president of SEIU Local 1984.
The event runs from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at theSEA/SEIU Local 1984 Office at 207 N Main St. in Concord.
