Improvisation Workshop

Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11 & 25 - 6:30 pm -8:30 pm, Community Players of Concord Studio, 435 Josiah Bartlett Rd., Concord

Join us for a four-week class in improvisational theater! Both
beginning and experienced actors are welcome and will be introduced to
improv fundamentals like group agreement, scene building, character,
heightening, scene editing and object work. In the final
class, members will have the opportunity to perform a short improv set
for family and friends.

The instructor, Travis Laughlin, will incorporate elements of his
training in improv comedy at iO Chicago and at the Meisner Technique
school Playhouse West in Los Angeles. Travis has performed
professionally for many years, appearing in the Wild West Chronicles
and Tall Tales of Jim Bridger on the INSP network, the films Glass
Casa, Love’s Playlist, and Do Us Part, and has performed on stage with
the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, iO Los Angeles and the
Community Players.
