Sixty years after the Beatles first took America by storm, their music continues to stir hearts and cross boundaries of age, belief, and background. On Sunday, November 16 at 2:30 PM, Jazz Sanctuary will celebrate that timeless appeal with “The Restless Beauty of the Beatles” at First Congregational Church, 79 Clinton Street in Concord.
The afternoon features twelve beloved Beatles songs performed by vocalists Emilia Halstead, Joey Placenti, and Reneé Rouse, with guest guitarist Charlie Pouliot and The Jazz Sanctuary House Band. Their musical journey will be paired with the poetic reflections of Irish philosopher John O’Donohue, exploring what he called “the restless beauty of the ocean.”
More than a concert, Jazz Sanctuary offers a relaxed space where music, reflection, and community meet. Guests are invited to come as they are, enjoy light snacks, and connect with others in an atmosphere that celebrates authenticity and belonging. Whether you consider yourself “church-going” or not, you’ll find warmth, great music, and the freedom to simply be yourself.
Those unable to attend in person can join via livestream at youtube.com/ConcordsFirstChurch.
