On Friday, February 6 High Street Coffee House will welcome singer-songwriter Ian Galipeau from Keene, NH to the sanctuary of the Boscawen Congregational Church as our feature performer. A talented young musician, Ian has long identified himself as " songwriter for hopeful cynics, " because the unifying thread between his songs is in the slyly optimistic lyrical balance of hope and sadness, sincerity and sarcasm. Ian will open and close the evening, and in between we’ll have time for 8 open mic performers – musicians, poets, comedians – for 2 songs or 10 minutes. Open mic performers need to sign up ahead of time by emailing Liz at highstreetcoffeehouse@gmail.com. Priority will be given to those who did not perform at our January event.
Doors open at 6:15, music starts at 7:00 and we wrap up about 9:45. Admission is free, but we do pass a basket for donations. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bottled water are available on the beverage table. We offer an assortment of desserts & snacks, as well as some hot foods for a light dinner, including Vegetarian & GF options. All refreshments are available by donation.
