The First Sunday Jazz Jam is back—just on a different day this month! With Easter falling on April 5, we’re moving the jam to the second Sunday so we don’t miss out on the music. Join us for an afternoon of swing, standards, and community as musicians and vocalists of all ages and experience levels come together to play. Please note our updated time: 1:30–3:30 PM.
We’re also returning to the American Legion Post #21 at 7 Perley Street in Concord for the spring and summer months. The friendly folks there have been asking when we’d be back! While it’s a private club, our jam session is open to the public—just ring the doorbell when you arrive, and someone will sign you in. The Legion is generously providing the space at no charge, so we encourage you to support them by purchasing your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages at the bar. The popcorn is always free, and you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.
If you can sing or play a melody from the Real Book, you’re all set—no soloing experience needed. We’ll provide:
• Keyboard
• Drum kit
• Bass amp
• Microphones for vocalists
Participants are asked to bring their own instruments, music stands, and any personal gear they rely on. Guitarists players, please bring a small amp. Having your own setup helps keep things running smoothly and makes the jam more enjoyable for everyone.
