WMUR’s Scott Spradling Brings 11-Piece Show Band to Final Clinton Street Concert of the Summer

The Clinton Street Concert Series will conclude its 2026 season on Wednesday, August 19, with a free outdoor performance by The Scott Spradling Band, an 11-piece show band known for its energetic blend of classic R&B, Motown, pop favorites, big band-style jazz, and dance classics.

The concert takes place from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. on the lawn beside Wesley United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church, 79 Clinton Street, Concord. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The concert will be held rain or shine, moving indoors if necessary.

Many New Hampshire residents know Scott Spradling from his years at WMUR-TV, where he served as Political Director and became one of the state's most recognizable political journalists. He covered New Hampshire politics extensively and moderated numerous candidate debates during the state's First-in-the-Nation presidential primaries.

Today, Spradling brings that same engaging presence to the stage as one of the band's lead vocalists. The Scott Spradling Band features a full horn section, professional rhythm section, and two dynamic vocalists, creating a high-energy show filled with the sounds of classic R&B, soul, jazz, and pop.

"We're excited to close the season with a band that delivers an evening of great music and plenty of fun," said Jock Irvine, coordinator of the Clinton Street Concert Series. "Hundreds of people have joined us for concerts this summer, and we hope the community will come out for one more great night."

The Clinton Street Concert Series is sponsored by Wesley United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church as a gift to the Concord community. Admission is free, with voluntary donations accepted to help support future concerts.

The August 19 performance is supported in part by a grant from the Music Performance Trust Fund, a nonprofit organization established by the recording industry and the American Federation of Musicians to help bring free live performances by professional musicians to communities throughout the United States and Canada.
