Event Details
Community members who are interested in helping Granite VNA support patients and their families are invited to join the agency’s upcoming volunteer training program, beginning Saturday, October 3. From providing patient companionship and caregiver respite to supporting community health and bereavement programs, volunteers play a critical role in helping Granite VNA fulfill its not-for-profit, community-based mission.
While the agency offers a wide array of volunteer opportunities, it has a critical need for volunteers to visit patients on hospice in their homes, veteran volunteers to support fellow veterans on hospice, and certified pet therapy teams.
The next volunteer training program begins Saturday, October 3, and continues Sunday, Oct. 4, Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18. Each volunteer training is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury Street, in Concord.
Community members who are interested in volunteering may contact Lynne Sabean at (603) 224-4093, ext. 82816 or lynne.sabean@granitevna.org or Lisa Challender at (603) 224-4093 ext. 82826 or lisa.challender@granitevna.org.
