Canterbury Shaker Village Hosts Heifer Parade

Canterbury Shaker Village will host the 3rd Annual Heifer Parade with Food & Fiddle on Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a press statement. Cows from Brookford Farm will parade to the historic pastures at the Village at approximately 11 a.m. Admission is free.

Maypole dancing, food, outdoor barn dancing, and make-your-own head wreaths, tutus and May baskets will be available throughout the day. Come early and decorate yourself for the parade or wear your best spring bonnet! Prizes will be awarded for the best hat.

Self-guided exhibits at the Village will be open to attendees and guided tours on the hour will be available at 11:00 am and 1 p.m. for a special fee of $10 per person. More information, please visit shakers.org.
