Canterbury Shaker Village Hosts Vintage Car Show and Ghost Encounters in October
Learn about vintage automobiles on a beautiful fall day or experience the other-worldly feel of a 200-year-old historic site at Halloween.

CANTERBURY, NH — Presented in partnership with the White Mountain Region Chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America, the annual Vintage Car Show will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 15. Bring your antique car or motorcycle (25 years and older) to this unique and family friendly car show! No pre-registration or entry fee, according to a press statement.
This event includes free admission to the Village for one driver and one passenger and a cash raffle! Visitors are welcome to admire automobiles and motorcycles from many eras, meet with the owners and other vintage car enthusiasts, and enjoy Village tours and exhibits. Canterbury Shaker Village will host Ghost Encounters on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 3 to 8 p.m. Join the Village to take an all new tour and hear true stories of the Shakers and their experiences with spirits. Families of all ages can trick-or-treat-or-create with Halloween-themed activities throughout the Village. Attendees are encouraged to wear a costume and join in the costume contest! Prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-17, and under 5 free. Members of Canterbury Shaker Village are half price. Visitors are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time to reserve a place on a tour. Spots are limited! Other upcoming workshops and events include a Standing Wool Rugs workshop on October 7th, a Letterpress printing workshop on October 21stand November 4th, Shaker broom making on November 4th, a workshop on folk art dolls on November 5th, and Christmas at Canterbury on December 9th and 16th.
