​Capital Region Food Program​ Wins Nonprofit Business Of The Year Award

The org was honored with the award at the 19th Annual Pinnacle Awards hosted by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

CONCORD, NH — The Capital Region Food Program (CRFP) is proud to announce that it has been presented with the 19th Annual Pinnacle Nonprofit Business of the Year Award by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce (GCCC).

This prestigious award recognizes CRFP's outstanding contributions to the community and its devotion to combating hunger in central New Hampshire.

“This is an incredible achievement and true testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, partners and contributors,” Elena Alois, the org chairwoman, said. “I have seen the impact of this organization throughout my life, and we are so grateful for the continued support from the community in helping us reduce hunger in the Greater Concord Area.”

This award honors an exemplary nonprofit organization each year that demonstrates innovation in carrying out its mission. CRFP's selection as the 2024 recipient underscores the impact of its flagship projects. The Holiday Project distributed over 2,250 meal vouchers feeding roughly 7,000 individuals this past season. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, the Year Round Distribution Project provided over $100,000 worth of supplemental to food pantries, social service agencies and soup kitchens to better assist client needs.

The Capital Region Food Program (CRFP) is a private, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help reduce hunger in the Greater Concord area through year-round distribution of food to individuals and families. Since 1974 this has been accomplished by securing financial donations and in-kind services and by coordination, collaboration, and cooperation with other community distribution and service agencies.

The CRFP distributes the equivalent of more than 110 tons of food annually through two initiatives. Forty tons of food is distributed through the Year Round Distribution Project which is distributed 11 times each year to over thirty local agencies. The equivalent of 70 tons of food is distributed through the program’s Holiday Project.
