Car Crashes Deep In The Woods Of Concord Off I-93: Watch
NHSP advised towing company on Friday to bring chainsaws to remove a tree; the driver was injured but refused to be taken to the hospital.
CONCORD, NH — A car crashed on Interstate 93 south near Exit 16 on Friday, causing a bit of a headache for a towing company.
Around 11 p.m. New Hampshire State Police and Concord firefighters and EMTs arrived at the crash and found the vehicle far down an embankment, hundreds of feet from the highway. A trooper responded to the crash first and requested fire and rescue teams. The first responding firefighter said it looked like the car hit a tree deep in the woods, ultimately stopping the vehicle.
The state trooper told dispatch to tell the tow truck to bring chainsaws to clear the trees and brush from around the car.

“There’s a fairly large tree down behind it,” they said. “They are going to need chainsaws to get it out of the woods.”
EMTs requested firefighters set up a block to slow down some of the travelers on I-93 who were driving too fast.

“Cars are going pretty quick,” he said.
“The car is well off the roadway,” another firefighter said, requesting a block, “in quite a bit of brush.”
Firefighters reported “no hazards with the vehicle,” and the driver, who complained of shoulder pain, did not want to be taken to the hospital, according to scanner chatter.
