Car Crashes Into Security Gate, Trees At St. Paul’s School In Concord

On Saturday, a car crossed Hopkinton Road from Long Pond Road and crashed into a gate and trees in a St. Paul's School conservation area.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a single-vehicle accident on Saturday.

Around 8 p.m., a witness in the area of Long Pond Road and Hopkinton Road called the police after a Mazda sedan crashed into a security gate at the entrance of a dirt road onto St. Paul’s School property, specifically, a conservation area on the school compound.

The witness claimed the car did not stop while driving south on Long Pond Road, crossed Hopkinton Road, and crashed into the gate, knocking it over, and then stopped after crashing into trees.

Dispatch sent officers and also called firefighters. According to scanner chatter, a witness later stated the driver was out of the vehicle, walking around, and appeared not to be injured.

Firefighters and EMTs, who were at Concord Hospital, headed to the area but were cleared later after police confirmed the driver was not injured.

Above All Towing moved the vehicle from the area.

Later, around 9 p.m., St. Paul’s School security showed up to inspect the damage.
