CONCORD, NH — An elderly man is OK after hitting the wrong peddle on his car and driving over an embankment on Foundry Street on Monday.
At just before 1 p.m., Concord police and firefighters were sent to the medical building on Foundry Street for a report of an accident with possible entrapment. A car, dispatch told firefighters and police, had hopped the curb and driven off the embankment.
When first responders arrived, they found a sedan halfway off the embankment. An 80-year-old driver was stuck in the vehicle. Firefighters used ladders to access the man and remove him from the car. The man told firefighters he put his foot on the gas pedal instead of putting it on the brake, according to scanner chatter.
