Celebrate Public Works Week with Concord General Services
Join the Twitter Party on Monday and the City of Concord's Public Works Celebration Tuesday at Memorial Field.

The American Public Works Association annually hosts National Public Works Week to promote the importance of public works services. This year, National Public Works Week is May 21-27, 2017 and the theme, "Public Works Connects Us," celebrates the vital role public works plays in connecting us all together with streets, roads, bridges, and water systems.
The City of Concord’s public works services are performed by Concord General Services. These services include street maintenance, trash and recycling services, water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment, snow plowing, public properties maintenance, and equipment services. These services provide resources we have grown accustomed to having every day – such as having water every time we turn on the faucet, or having our trash properly disposed of, or even safely maintained streets to travel on.
The Mayor of the City of Concord, Jim Bouley, has signed a proclamation to declare May 21-27, 2017 as this year’s Public Works Week for Concord, New Hampshire in recognition of the contributions of public works employees. Kick-off Public Works Week with Concord General Services on Monday, May 22nd with their Public Works Twitter Party from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at www.twitter.com/ConcordNHGS. Tweet along using #NPWW.
