Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Announces Student Leadership Class of 2017

Twenty-six students selected to participate in CASL program.

CONCORD, NH — The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce has announced the students selected for the 2017 Capital Area Student Leadership (CASL) program. The program is offered annually to high school sophomores in the Greater Concord area. This year, the following 26 students have been selected to participate:

The students will be oriented to the program in March, and then participate in four sessions to learn how a community functions, according to the news release. The sessions will include field trips, hands‑on experiences, and discussions with leaders about important community topics, including history, culture and other civic functions. The program’s goal is to encourage the students to become active members and future leaders within their schools and communities, according to the release.

The program is hosted by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Northeast Delta Dental. More than 475 students have graduated from this program during the past two decades, according to its website.
