Champlin Putting Up Signs

Political signs are sprouting up all over Concord including in Ward 4, where district Concord City Council candidate Byron Champlin was seen on Oct. 4, talking to supporters and putting up signs on Franklin Street. The first time candidate said he's been having a lot of fun so far, meeting voters in the district.
"I love it, yeah," he said.
Champlin has found that it takes a bit of getting used to, directly talking to different voters, noting that, even at 10 a.m., it's sometimes too early. At a recent visit to one voter's house, the woman came to the door in her pajamas.
"It was a rookie mistake," said Daniel Barrick, a supporter.
"That's right," Champlin said, adding that he'll be back out this weekend, doing some more door-knocking.
