Cheers to the Next 250 Years in Concord
Tickets to the Cheers to the Next 250 Years New Year's Eve Gala are still on sale. Event wraps of the festive year-long celebration.

The winter holiday season is upon us, despite what the mercury says. While Concord’s sestercentennial year is nearly over, the celebration continues right through New Year’s Eve.
On Dec. 31, 2015, from 7:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, Concord 250 and the Concord Family YMCA will present Cheers to the Next 250 Years! New Year’s Eve Gala in the Grand Ballroom at Grappone Conference Center.
The Freese Brothers Big Band Combo will kick off the evening, with DJ Nazzy from WLNH keeping the dance floor hopping right into 2016. Attendees will enjoy a delectable dinner of English cut prime rib, pecan crusted chicken, vegetable lasagna, and much more, topped off with a dessert & candy bar, then a complimentary champagne toast. The pop-up Concord history gallery & lounge will return, and partygoers can strike a pose with props in the free photo booth, and take advantage of special room rates of $99 + tax at the attached Courtyard Concord Marriott.

Prizes will be awarded for best costumes from the eras of 1920s, 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, and today/future. Attendees are encouraged to don garb from their favorite era, whether dapper flapper, timeless 50s, swell 70s, awesome 80s, or even today’s black tie formal wear.
Tickets are moving quickly; last year’s event sold out early. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Tickets are available online at concordymca.org/nyegala, in person at Concord Family YMCA, or by calling 603-228-9622. Tickets are $75 per person or $750 for a table of 10. All event proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, making quality childcare and wellness programs accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of their economic status.
