Choirs Perform at Child Abuse Event

Candles lit at event highlighting the thousands of victims in 2012.

Advocates, law enforcement officials, and concerned citizens gathered at the Statehouse on April 17, to highlight the thousands of children across New Hampshire who were the victims of sexual abuse in 2012.

The organizers created a "light of hope" - rings of candles around the Statehouse plaza. Gov. Maggie Hassan also read a proclamation naming April Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Here are some pictures and singing from the event.
