Citizens Police Academy Starts Up Again in April
Apply for 10-week program to learn the ins and outs of the Concord Police Department.

The Concord Police Department will be hosting a Citizen’s Police Academy starting on April 1, 2015. This will be a 10-week program taking place on Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Applicants who are accepted can expect an informative session examining all the duties of the Concord Police Department. The program will consist of classroom instruction, demonstration, and trips to other organizations who are involved with the department and community. Applicants will also have the option to participate in a police ride along, and/or a sit-in with our dispatch center.
During the Citizen’s Police Academy, the participants will be exposed to the glamour and excitement they associate with police work, along with the processes that are less glamorous, but vital to the day to day function of this agency.
