City to Charge for Parking in Former NH ES Lot
Also, there is no new development news for the former New Hampshire Employment Security building.
The city of Concord will begin charging for parking in the parking lot behind the former New Hampshire Employment Security building beginning on Feb. 17.
The site, located at 32-34 S. Main St., with entrances on Fayette and South State streets, will cost 50 cents an hour to park between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with no time limit, according to Matt Walsh, the director for redevelopment, downtown services, and special projects.
The price is the same as long-term parking in the garages, he noted, and kiosk units will be used in the lot to purchase parking time.

According to Walsh, there is no new development news for the site. The city council rejected two proposals about a year ago. The city officially purchased the building and parking lot in November 2014 after more than two years of communications and negotiations with the state, request for proposals, and a site review.
