Many people visit the Concord Room to research local homes, businesses, and families from the 18th to the 20th centuries...but did you know that our collection also includes ancient Native American artifacts?

In 2016-17, archaeologists conducted a survey near Turtle Pond and along Portsmouth Street. The materials that they found, including stone tools dating to about 4000-6000 years ago, are on exhibit now at the Main library.
