Citywide Parking Ban Issued For Concord: Update

Vehicles must be removed from city streets by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, so snow can be cleared from roadways and sidewalks.

CONCORD, NH — Concord has issued a winter storm event parking ban for the entire city from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.

No on-street parking will be allowed between 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, according to an alert. Free parking is available in three city garages during the snow removal event — the Durgin Block (School Street), the Fire House Block (State Street), and Storrs Street garages.

Penacook residents may park in the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot at Village and Canal streets near Chief’s Restaurant even though the lot is posted as “no overnight parking.” The overnight regulation is suspended during citywide parking bans. Parking is allowed in the public spaces on the south side of the lot.

“The community’s cooperation to move cars off the street is appreciated to help plows more efficiently clear snow,” the city said in its alert. “Cars not removed from the street can impede snow removal and block plows on narrow streets. Violators are subject to receiving a ticket and being towed by Concord police.”
