Classic New Years is Back at Red River Theatres!

Every New Years is a special time at Red River Theatres. It is our chance to highlight a great classic movie and/or Musical on the big screen and through our breath taking digital projectors! And this year is no different. Our Classic New Years selection is ON THE TOWN! With Frank Sinatra, Ann Miller and Gene Kelly singing and dancing their way around New York City, this film will be a treat for all ages. So come out and ring in the New Year as ONLY Red River Theatres can, with this classic musical on the biggest screen we’ve got! Champagne toast and dessert provided just in time to beat the New Years crowds!

THE STORY:Three sailors - Gabey, Chip and Ozzie - let loose on a 24-hour pass in New York and the Big Apple will never be the same! Gabey falls head over heels for “Miss Turnstiles of the Month” (he thinks she’s a high society deb when she’s really a ‘cooch dancer at Coney Island); innocent Chip gets highjacked (literally) by a lady cab driver; and Ozzie becomes the object of interest of a gorgeous anthropologist who thinks he’s the perfect example of a “prehistoric man”. Wonderful music and terrific shots of New York at its best.
