Last fall, the company increased its Gigabit Pro from 2/2 Gbps to 3/3 Gbps nationwide. More than three-fourths of residential Comcast Internet customers will benefit now from speeds of 300 Mbps or more, the company said.
“Faster speeds will give Xfinity customers added capacity to power all their WiFi-connected devices in the home,” Kevin Casey, Comcast Northeast Division President, said. “Through our smart, fast, and reliable fiber-dense network, continued innovation, and our people, we bring our customers unbeatable Internet with the best connection, advanced cybersecurity, faster speeds, and the best tech available.”

The company noted the increases were made a month after a 2021 WiFi Trends Report showed Comcast had connected to close to a billion devices last year — a 1,200 percent increase since 2018. More than $20 billion had been invested by the company to “evolve and grow” its network including 50,000 new route miles of fiber as well as doubling network capacity in about two and half years. Along with cybersecurity protection and parental Internet tools, the company also began offering mobile cellphone services in recent years.
Apple TV+ Now On Xfinity
Comcast and Apple are also offering Apple TV+ as a feature for Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and XClass TV customers in the United States.
Between March 15 and March 21, Apple will offer a free preview of some of its most popular programming to subscribers. Comcast customers, who are not currently Apple TV+ subscribers, can also signup for a free three-month trial.
Apple TV+ will be offered by Comcast for the same price as it is being offered to Apple customers, $4.99 per month.
