The Children's Theatre Project presents the young performers edition of the play later this month.

CONCORD, NH — The Community Players of Concord, NH opens its 90th season with "The Wizard of Oz," a production of the group's award-winning Children's Theatre Project. Over 45 actors ages 8-17 will present the Young Performers' Edition of this timeless classic audiences of all ages. All the beloved characters, songs and scenes are here: Dorothy, singing “Over the Rainbow”; the Munchkins and Glinda; Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion; Aunt Em and Uncle Henry; the Wicked Witch of the West, with her Flying Monkeys and Winkie Guards; and of course, the Wizard of Oz himself ... and Toto, too!

Songs such as “If I Only Had a Brain,” “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead,” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard” will have you tapping your feet and singing along as Dorothy and her friends try to avoid the Witch on their way to Oz, the Wizard, and home!
