Concord Announces Winter Storm Overnight Parking Restrictions For Monday Night To Tuesday Morning

An overnight parking ban is in effect for Concord to assist with snow removal operations, with free garage parking available for residents.

CONCORD, NH — The city has issued a Winter Storm Event Parking Ban.

This ban prohibits on-street parking citywide from 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24. The purpose of this restriction is to help plows clear snow efficiently.

Cars left on streets can impede snow removal efforts and block plows, especially on narrow streets. Violators of the parking ban may receive a ticket and have their vehicle towed by the Concord Police Department’s Parking Division.

Free parking options are available for residents during the ban. City garages will offer free parking starting at 7 p.m. on Monday. This free parking extends through 8 a.m. on Tuesday for permit or lease spaces and until 9 a.m. for metered spaces. The public parking garages include the School Street Garage, State Street Garage, and Storrs Street Garage.

For residents in Penacook, alternative overnight parking is provided at the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot and the Tanner Street Municipal Parking Lot. These designated lots are available to assist with the parking ban. The city appreciates residents’ cooperation in parking off-street.
