Concord Community Music School Plans Annual Jazz Night Fundraiser

The James Fernando Trio will headline the annual fundraiser, which includes a pre-show reception and supports music student financial aid.

CONCORD, NH — The Concord Community Music School will host its annual Jazz Night Fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, in the School's Recital Hall.

This event will feature the James Fernando Trio and aims to support the School's Financial Aid Fund.

Attendees may arrive early at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-show reception. This reception will include light appetizers and a performance by the CCMS Adult Jazz Ensemble.

The event is supported by several sponsors, including Headliner Sponsors LT Development, Northeast Delta Dental, Rath Young Pignatelli, and St. Paul’s School. Daniel Acsadi, CCMS Executive Director, said jazz offers “exciting grooves, memorable melodies, edge-of-our-seats virtuosity, a huge range of emotional expression.” Acsadi added the collaborative spirit of jazz is present at CCMS and that Jazz Night ensures everyone can benefit from musical experiences regardless of financial barriers.

The James Fernando Trio, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in 2023. World Music Report has described James Fernando as a “prodigiously gifted composer and virtuoso pianist.” The trio has performed at venues such as The Kennedy Center and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. Their debut album, “Philly 3,” was released in February 2026.

The trio's music is influenced by jazz legends like Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, and Thelonious Monk. Their performances combine fresh interpretations of jazz standards with original compositions, bringing the genre into the present day through improvisation and arrangements.

Tickets for the Jazz Night Fundraiser are $80 per person or $300 for a table of four. A limited number of seats are available. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Concord Community Music School at 603-228-1196 or by visiting ccmusicschool.org/event/2026-jazz-night/.

The Concord Community Music School, located at 23 Wall St., employs more than 50 faculty members who teach more than a thousand students weekly. The school offers individual instruction, workshops, classes, choruses, ensembles, expressive art therapy, and recitals, with financial aid available.
