Concord Construction Almost Ready to Wrap Up

Work is in the final stretch plus other updates.

Updates for the week of Nov. 9, 2015

With only one week left of work, North Main Street is truly in it’s final stretch before being opened to two-way traffic and parking on both sides of the street again.

On Monday the south bound lane will receive its final top coat of pavement. Due to paving, westerly adjacent side streets will be closed intermittently during the day. All parking garages will remain accessible.

Layout and striping will occur between Tuesday and Wednesday, weather permitting, and Granite crews will be working throughout the week at the Pleasant Street and Warren Street bumpouts finishing paver installations. Warren St. will be closed between the parking garage and Main Street on Thursday and Friday to allow for crews to safely work at and finish the sidewalk bumpout.

By the end of the day Friday the final sidewalk amenities will have been added and North Main Street will be open to two way traffic and parking on both sides of the street.

Other notable notes!

Again there will be moderate Saturday work scheduled for this weekend. As a result, Warren Street will be closed for a short time during the day between the parking garage and Main Street.

We’d also like to remind all pedestrians that the crossing patterns at Pleasant Street and Main Street have changed. There is no longer diagonal crossing at this intersection. Drivers should take note that right turns on red at this intersection are now permitted.

And finally, paid parking will be brought back into effect on North Main Street beginning Monday, Nov. 16.
