Concord Cops Investigating Hit-And-Run Crash On West Street, ‘Possibly A Drug Deal Gone Bad’
Video: A man sustained back and leg injuries after a report of a crash on West Street between Morton and Badger streets on Wednesday night.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Wednesday night.
At just before 7 p.m., police dispatch began receiving reports of a man down near the intersection of West Street and Badger Street. A man was reportedly struck by a vehicle. A caller reported the man’s foot was injured.
Later, the man was reported closer to Morton Street. Dispatch also said two different witnesses, including a driver, stopped to assist the man.

The first arriving officer reported fire and rescue teams had arrived, and the man appeared to have serious bodily injuries.
One officer reported the driver involved in the incident did not appear to be at the scene. When another officer asked for a vehicle description, dispatch replied, “Negative, nobody saw it.”

Officers spoke to several witnesses at the scene. Later, one officer stated the man had leg and back injuries, and the vehicle was described as a black sedan. The man was transported to the hospital by EMTs, and an officer followed in tow.
They also said the victim did not appear to want to speak about the incident.
“It was not random,” the officer said. “It was possibly a drug deal gone bad. He wouldn’t disclose any information about the other male in the vehicle.”
