Concord Police Seek Tips After Broad Cove Drive Car Break-In, Stabbing Incident: Follow-Up
Crimeline Alert: Cops are asking area residents to check their security cameras, vehicles, and outbuildings after incident Sunday morning.

CONCORD, NH — The Concord Regional Crimeline has issued an alert asking for the public’s help with a break-in and stabbing incident on Sunday on Broad Cove Drive.
Around 4:45 a.m., police were sent to the drive, not far from Carter Hill Road, for a report of two men holding down a car break-in suspect. During the time period between calling 911 and police arriving, the suspect was stabbed by one of the men. According to Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department, the suspect was assisted by Concord fire and rescue teams and then taken to Concord Hospital for treatment.

“Officers secured the scene and preserved evidence for detectives, who arrived shortly thereafter,” Thomas said. “It is believed that the same man had gone through several other unlocked vehicles in the area prior to the confrontation.”

No arrests have been made, he added.
The suspect in the case has a lengthy criminal history dating back more than a decade, including dozens of charges and several felony convictions.

Thomas, via a crimeline alert, said the residents of Broad Cove Drive and surrounding streets were asked to check their vehicles and outbuildings to see if they were victimized. If they were, contact the police. Residents were also asked to check their security camera footage for any “suspicious activity” during the overnight or early morning hours between Jan. 13 and Jan. 14. Anyone with any video footage of suspicious activity was also asked to contact police.
