“Concord is a wonderful community, and I am honored to have this opportunity,” Moulton said. “The Concord Police Department has some of the most dedicated and talented officers and civilian staff in the state, who work diligently each day to provide the best service to our community. I look forward to collaborating with this incredible team as we move forward.”
Moulton also thanked Osgood, who dedicated 37 years of his life to the city of Concord. He said some of the highlights initiated under his leadership included the Comfort Dog Program, the Police Social Worker Unit, and the revival of the department’s patrol K-9 program.
“Chief Osgood also led a multi-year effort to obtain approval for a new police headquarters,” he said. “These positive initiatives have laid a strong foundation for many years of success for both the department and the community as a whole.”
