Concord Fire, Police Sent To Fire At Former NHSP Radio Tower Site

Watch: Firefighters extinguished a homeless camp fire off Langley Parkway and Clinton Street on Sunday morning.

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams and police were sent to Langley Parkway and Clinton Street on Sunday for a report of an outside fire.

Just before 12:15 a.m., capital region fire dispatch began receiving calls about a fire in the area. The first report came in as a fire along the wood line between White Farm and the woods near the old New Hampshire State Police radio tower. Flames could be seen from the streets.

Dispatch requested police, too, since “they’ve gone over there, a couple of times, for homeless burning.” Police dispatch sent two officers.

The officers attempted to identify a man at the scene. After matching tattoos and descriptors, like having an Eastern European accent, the man in his late 50s was identified and cleared.

After extinguishing the fire, firefighters and police cleared the scene around 12:45 a.m.
